Mamutik Island
We took a cab from town to Sutera Habour Resort for our boat to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. Named after Malaysia's first prime minister, this Sabah state park comprises of 5 islands namely Gaya Island , Manukan Island , Mamutik Island , Sapi Island and Sulug Island. Our target island was Mamutik Island where the Borneo Divers hut is located.

Go down baby, dive!
We had our first taste of diving at the beach. Exercises after exercises was performed to master our diving skills. Exercises include mask clearing, regulator recovery, underwater cramp removal, buoyancy control and the james bond ascend - the fun stuff. A long day in the water but we had fun. The toughest part was to go deeper. My body tends to float as I tried to dive deeper. Blup blupp blupp, and I floated instead of diving. The deepest record was about 9 metres. Not bad for a first timer, ya?

Shane: "Ok. We will be going down now. Remember to buddy check.."

Me: "Urm, buddy? Where are you? Left? Right? Top? Down? Argh!! Where's my buddy!!?.."

 

 

I need to pee
Shane: "Well done guys. Now, we will swim over to that side for our next set of exercises."

Me: "Urm... can I go to the toilet first?"

Shane: "Toilet? Here where got toilet?!"

Me: "No worries, I will just swim back to the shore and run back to the hut.."

Shane: "Aiyoohhhhh.... Just relax and just pee in your suit.."

Me: "But the ladies are looking!!.."

Shane: "It doesn't matter. You have to practice peeing in your diving attire.."

The ladies: "Come on!... SshshSHshshshss....."

"ArrgGHghgGHghghhg!!... cannot lahh!! Too tension!!", and I dashed back to the hut.

 

Shane: "Sighhh. I wonder how is he going to find toilet in open sea..." >>
